Falcon Cu/Mo Plan View
Falcon is permitted for drilling until 2029 (MYAB permit granted in 2024)
At Falcon, drilling has outlined a 500 by 300 m area of Cu and Mo mineralisation.
Two mineralising events have been identified - an early copper event (U/Pb dated at 196Ma by the MDRU in 2023) and a later molybdenum event (Re/Os dated at 142Ma by U. Alberta in 2021). Core locations from which the geochronology samples were taken are shown in the last illustration on this page.
While the full extent of neither event has been evaluated, it is the copper event that is most deserving of further exploration.
Tee adjoining map taken from Dan Liu's 2014 Assessment Report shows the following:
(1) Borehole traces projected to surface;
(2) Outline of >40ms chargeability;
(3) Outline of areas with soil > 100ppm Cu;
(4) Locations of SWIR samples.
Clearly, most of the chargeability anomaly has not been drilled.
Falcon Drill Section: Cu
Indicates a possible margin of high grade porphyry copper deposit
This is a cross-section through the Falcon drilling. Yellow bars represent 480-830 ppm Cu. Thr grey stipple represents felsic dykes intruded into the Cu-bearing granodiorite as interpreted from the drilling. The Mo mineralization is related to these late-stage felsic dykes whereas the granodiorite it has intruded into hosts the high copper values in strongly propylitic altered granodiorite. A hotter potassic alteration of the copper-bearing system has not yet been identified. This hotter core could host stronger copper mineralization. As suggested by the surface geophysics and geochemistry the system is open to the east and west.
Falcon Drill Plan: Mo
Mo-bearing felsic dykes intrude Cu-bearing quartz biotite granodiorite porphyry.
Shown here is a plan map of the drilling at Falcon. The coloured intervals show the concentration of molybdenum in samples. For reference the yellow bars represent samples containing 0.015 to 0.064 % molybdenum. In 2007 and 8 approximately 3700 m were drilled into an area targeting a high moly-in-soil and high-magnetics anomaly. The drilling intercepted significant molybdenum mineralization and anomalous copper mineralization in all 10 drill holes. This drilling included intercepts such as 418 m of 0.033 % Mo and 0.06 % Cu.
Vein Mineralisation: Cu
First phase of mineralisation.
Quartz-pyrite-chalcopyrite-molybdenite-magnetite veins with epidote-albite alteration selvages and pervasive chlorite (actinolite?)–magnetite alteration are observed in the granodiorite.

Vein Mineralisation: Mo
Second phase of mineralisation.
Mo mineralization occurs in the Porphyry and Granodiorite as:
Narrow molybdenite-only veinlets
Variety of quartz vein types, including wormy A-style veins, quartz-molybdenite +/- pyrite stockwork and banded quartz-molybdenite veins
Molybdenite disseminations
No obvious alteration selvage to Qz-Mo veins.
All mineralized vein types are cut by quartz-pyrite +/- calcite veins.
