Environment

Redton subscribed to Principle 7 of the e3 PLUS Framework: for Responsible Exploration: "Protect the Environment". (See update below.)

UPDATE: In March 2024 the PDAC has updated and rebranded their e3 PLUS Framework to DRE (Driving Responsible Exploration). Redton will review DRE and almost certainly subscribe to its principles.

In 2021 Redton commissioned a wildlife assessment report on Nation Mountain which focused primarily on caibou and which was made available to all interested parties.  Its recommnedations appropriate for the scale of Redton's activies on the property have been implemented, in particular limiting helicopter overflight untill after the 15th of July.

Redton is concerned about the impact of forestry clear-cuts on the environment in which it operates (see the satellite image overlays below). Redton believes that mining revenues, which would be shared with local communities should a mine result from Redton's exploration work, could be used to mitigate damage caused by clear-cuts.
